Biography:

Merrie grew up on the Main Line of Philadelphia. After graduation from Drexel University with honors in Interior Design, she studied for a year in Paris at the Sorbonne before passing the NCIDQ and becoming a member of ASID.

As a young designer, she worked in Philadelphia on many corporate design projects including Exxon, IBM, IMS, Glaxo Smith Kline, Graduate and Paoli Hospitals, as well as several private executive offices. As a mother of four, she took a break from corporate design and began a small private practice in Villanova where she took on projects including residential interiors on the Main Line, in Avalon and Stone Harbor, Bermuda, Naples, Voorhees, and in Washington DC.

In her personal life Merrie has served on the boards of Inglis House and St. Edmonds Home for Children. She has severed as Vice President of St. Norbert's CYO, was a tennis coach and adjunct math professor at Penn State and Delaware County, as well as she is an Alumnae Ambassador for Drexel University.

Merrie takes satisfaction in continuing her education in what is new in the design and furniture industry. She is always up to date on cutting edge technology in materials and construction techniques all while recognizing the integrity of old world craftsmanship.
