A Favorite Chair Gets a Facelift

Over fifty years ago, in 1966, Florence bought a chair from Sheffield Furniture & Interiors.
This chair held a lifetime of special memories and it was the perfect size for Florence and her space. So when the time came to downsize, she asked us to reupholster it for an updated look. And since she bought it from Sheffield, we were happy to do it!
Her designer, Liz Shrawder, helped her choose a fabric that reflected her taste and style… and then our master craftsman, Scott Hogan, went to work.
Scott removed all the old fabric and cushioning. He reglued the frame, and then rebuilt the padding. The new fabric was carefully cut and sewn to flow-match.
The original chair had a gathered skirt which we removed so the wooden legs would show, which also updated the look.
The result? A treasured piece of furniture was made new again… and Florence was thrilled.
