Color Watch 2019: Seeing GREEN!

Recently, many members of our design team attended the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina. Besides coming back with a lot of inspiring and exciting new ideas, they discovered some new design trends for the coming year. One of those is implementing the color green in your home.
This green didn’t have the yellowish hues of years past, but rather it was a clearer, bluer palette that ranged from bright spruce to all shades of hunter and kelly. And teal was everywhere, too!
The psychological properties green communicates are balance, peace, and harmony. It can rejuvenate, offer the feeling of being connected to nature and inspire a safe and secure atmosphere. Symbolically, emerald green resonates a luxurious feeling…think jewelry!
We saw green and its various shades in fabrics, wall coverings, pillows, leather, painted wood and art. Used properly, green can give your home wonderful energy and beautiful visual interest. Talk to one of our interior designers about the appropriate use of this invigorating color and take your home to a whole new level of gorgeous!
